OVERVIEW:
RELAY is a globally recognised brand synonymous with airport retail environments. As part of a complete refresh of their six stores at Auckland Airport—spanning both international and domestic terminals—OneFrame was engaged to reimagine key visual elements across each location.
The core brief was to create impactful brand disruption within an already high-traffic, stimulus-heavy environment. The iconic RELAY fascia signage was reinterpreted using OneFrame’s Animate™ colour-in-motion system, transforming the static brand into a dynamic focal point.
Behind each illuminated letter, subtle motion and programmable colour transitions were introduced—delivering a soft yet striking kinetic effect. This interplay of movement and light elevated the signage into a visual centrepiece, ensuring it stood out to passing travellers while reinforcing RELAY’s presence as a modern, progressive brand.
The result: a hero feature above each store entry that not only captured attention but amplified brand identity in a competitive and visually saturated setting.
