Our commitment to the Environment

At OneFrame Architectural Fabric Tension Systems, sustainability is not an afterthought - it’s embedded in the way we design, manufacture, and deliver solutions. As a New Zealand-owned and operated company, our environmental responsibility extends beyond product innovation. It reflects our belief that the design community - from architects and interior designers to urban planners and specifiers - plays a critical role in shaping a more sustainable built environment.

We recognise that meaningful change doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why we’re proud members of 1% for the Planet, committing a minimum of one percent of our annual revenue - not profit - to environmental initiatives here in Aotearoa. This approach reinforces our connection to place and community while allowing us to contribute to climate resilience, conservation, and innovation in a direct and transparent way.

PARTNERING WITH PURPOSE  - LIVE OCEAN FOUNDATION

Our principal sustainability partner is the Live Ocean Foundation, a marine conservation organisation driven by New Zealanders and world-renowned sailors Peter Burling and Blair Tuke. Their mission - to scale up ocean-focused science and innovation - directly complements the architectural community’s growing interest in regenerative and resilient design.

By supporting Live Ocean, we contribute to future-forward research and action that ensures our coastal ecosystems - often the context for many of our projects - remain protected and thriving. For specifiers and designers selecting OneFrame systems, this partnership offers the assurance that your material choices are aligned with climate-conscious values and verifiable impact.

COLLABORATIVE ACTION, MEASURABLE IMPACT

Beyond our commitment to Live Ocean, we also work with a range of local government programs, nonprofit organisations, and client-led initiatives to drive sustainability at every level - from product lifecycle thinking to project-specific environmental funding. Where possible, we co-develop campaigns that direct additional resources to these causes, inviting clients to be part of the wider environmental story embedded in their own designs.

We believe that design has the power to do more than shape space - it can inspire social and environmental change. That’s why we use our platform to amplify the work of our partners and to engage the design community in conversations that matter.

EXPLORE THE MOVEMENT

We invite you to explore the work of our partners and consider how the systems you specify can extend impact far beyond the built environment.
