As a manufacturing operation and an organisation that finds themselves knee-deep in textile structure, colour, engineering and lighting we also understand the need to facilitate the complementary services that may be required to deliver our work. For this reason, we surround ourselves with people that have proficiencies in each of these specialist areas.
OneFrame Architectural Fabric Tension Systems have developed a menu of services that is all-encompassing ensuring you have relevant support throughout the process. As a client, you have the option to select any of our secondary services from our menu of services to support our primary service offer of fabric print production, manufacture and certification to align with your project requirements.
Ideation is the stage of design dedicated to generating ideas and exploring possibilities. It’s about thinking broadly, considering multiple directions and potential outcomes. By expanding the creative space, ideation fuels innovation and supplies the foundation for prototypes. This process helps translate abstract thinking into tangible solutions that can be tested, refined, and delivered to users.
Concept design is the stage where ideas become form, exploring the project’s overall vision and potential. Structural concepts and spatial layouts are sketched, while rough models bring early ideas to life. Preliminary finishes, textures, and colour palettes are considered, shaping atmosphere and intent. This phase establishes direction, aligning stakeholders and setting the creative foundation for detailed design development.
Technical design begins once the concept has been approved, moving ideas into precise detail. This stage develops full project specifications, ensuring every element is clearly defined before manufacture. It provides the framework for accurate costings, enabling a final quote to be prepared. Technical design bridges creative vision with practical execution, guiding the project smoothly toward production and delivery.
Graphic design is the craft of creating visual content that communicates messages with impact. Designers use hierarchy, layout, typography, imagery, and colour to guide attention and meet user needs. Beyond aesthetics, graphic design organizes information logically while also forging an emotional, often subconscious, connection—ensuring designs are both functional and meaningful in delivering an engaging user experience.
Dye-sublimation is probably the most technically advanced large format textile print technology available in market today. Dye-sublimation printing yields beautiful and permanent colours that are embedded in the substrate or fabric, rather than printed on the surface. Images on fabric won't fade or crack even after multiple washings. Under high temperature and pressure, the dye turns into a gas and permeates the fabric and then solidifies into its fibres.
As specialist design and manufacture site we design and extrude our own, patent protected, aluminium and composite profiles within New Zealand. This not only supports our NZMADE mantra, but also ensures we have control of the entire process structure to ensure both un-matched quality and the ability to deliver each project on-time. Our specialist team’s expertise and plant fabrication machining functions include cutting, welding, rolling, milling, drilling, swaging and linishing.
Our nationwide service enables us to deliver the infrastructure and support needed across Aotearoa. From the moment your project leaves our factory, we act as the “safe hands” guiding it through every stage of the logistics process. We ensure a smooth operational flow, moving your creation seamlessly from one end of the country to the other with confidence.
Installation is a vital stage of delivery, as even the finest creation can disappoint if installed poorly. Proper installation ensures not only that the customer’s expectations are met, but also that safety, structural integrity, and long-term performance are maintained. This critical process transforms a completed build into a reliable, functional outcome that stands the test of time.
Many of our technical creations require certification once installed to confirm compliance with design intent and performance standards. This process verifies that every parameter has been met, ensuring the installation aligns with both safety and functional requirements. Certification provides assurance of quality, reliability, and accountability, giving confidence that the finished project performs as intended. Our team are able to sign off any completed install and provide relevant documentation inline with specialist requirements as needed.
Regularly updating custom dye-sublimated graphics is key to maximising the impact of the OneFrame system. Depending on the environment, updates may occur monthly, quarterly, annually, or in line with campaigns, product launches, or service changes. This flexibility ensures visuals stay fresh, relevant, and aligned with current messaging, keeping every installation dynamic and engaging over time.
End-of-life responsibility is as important as the initial investment in creation. Supporting a circular economy, we provide a critical service that ensures each project can be safely decommissioned and returned to base. This approach prevents waste from heading directly to landfill, extending material life, reducing environmental impact, and reinforcing our commitment to sustainable practices.
With a strong corporate and personal commitment to sustainability, the OneFrame brand is built around advancing a circular economy. This is reflected in our material choices, services, and partnerships. We also invest heavily in ongoing research and development, ensuring we lead the market not only in what we create, but in the innovative, responsible way we deliver it.
