OVERVIEW:

It was a privilege to collaborate with CPRW, Air New Zealand, and Alaska on the design and delivery of the new Premium Check-In experience at Auckland International Airport—a project that exemplifies innovation, partnership, and world-class execution.

This high-profile installation serves as a bold architectural statement at the point of arrival, where first impressions are everything. Designed by the talented team at CPRW, the brief called for a 22-metre-wide x 2.2-metre-high illuminated feature that would not only complement the surrounding materials and integrated technology but also reflect the calibre of Air New Zealand’s brand as the national carrier.

To achieve this, OneFrame engineered and installed a Lucent™ seamless illuminated fabric lightbox—crafted with precision to deliver uninterrupted, edge-to-edge illumination across the full expanse. The system was printed on a richly textured fabric to provide a tactile, premium finish, and fitted with a dimmable LED system to allow for dynamic lighting control and a warm, welcoming tone within the space.

The result is a meticulously integrated architectural feature that aligns perfectly with the broader design vision—bridging form, function, and brand experience in one powerful execution.

This project stands as a testament to what can be achieved through true collaboration between architects, designers, engineers, and brand custodians.
