OVERVIEW:

When Build Interiors approached OneFrame for a practical solution to a unique design challenge on a recent Design & Build project, the brief was clear: find an elegant, cost-effective way to conceal a large garage door without constructing a full wall.

Instead of conventional framing or cabinetry, OneFrame proposed a smarter, more versatile approach—using our Resonate™ Fabric Acoustic System to discreetly enclose the space. This solution not only visually concealed the garage door but also delivered a functional acoustic benefit, helping to reduce noise transmission from the adjacent area.

To enhance the aesthetic outcome, a custom-printed graphic was applied to the fabric surface, transforming the installation into a soothing, large-scale wall art feature. Spanning an impressive 4.5 metres by 5 metres, the piece adds both scale and visual calm to the space. While a subtle join was required due to the size, the precision craftsmanship of our in-house finishing team makes it nearly imperceptible.

At OneFrame, we’re fortunate to have a team of seven full-time, highly skilled seamstresses, each with exceptional attention to detail. When joins are necessary, their expertise ensures clean, virtually invisible seams, maintaining the integrity and impact of the overall visual.

This project is a perfect example of how creative problem-solving, acoustic performance, and visual design can come together through the versatility of fabric tension systems—delivering outcomes that are as practical as they are beautiful.
