OVERVIEW:
As part of a thoughtful interior concept, GHD Design sought a solution that would blend seamlessly into the built environment—serving both an acoustic and aesthetic purpose. The result was a custom Resonate™ Acoustic System by OneFrame, specified as a subtle wall covering that doubles as a functional acoustic treatment.
Rather than opting for a traditional panel format, the design team pushed creative boundaries by introducing custom shapes and forms—transforming a standard acoustic element into an engaging piece of architectural art. The Resonate™ system was engineered to meet this brief, allowing full design flexibility while maintaining the necessary acoustic performance.
The selected colour palette featured soft, muted tones, carefully curated to create a calming atmosphere that aligns with the space’s intended use. This subtle visual language enhances the room's tranquillity while contributing to a sense of warmth and spatial comfort.
Functionally, the Resonate™ system delivers measurable reduction in ambient noise—supporting speech clarity and occupant wellbeing, particularly in open or shared environments. The seamless integration of fabric, frame, and acoustic core materials results in a high-performance system that also serves as a refined design feature.
This project illustrates how acoustic performance and artistic expression can coexist, delivering not just technical outcomes, but an elevated sensory experience that contributes to the overall success of the interior.
