OVERVIEW:

With the significant upgrade and extension of Milford Mall, Ellery Design was engaged to reimagine and elevate the retail environment—bringing to life a premium shopping destination tailored specifically to the area’s affluent demographic. Their vision was clear: deliver an experience that balances architectural sophistication with commercial appeal, while ensuring the new spaces stood apart from traditional retail formats.

OneFrame was appointed to support this vision through the technical design, engineering, and fabrication of a series of bespoke CLIPSO illuminated ceiling systems. These overhead features—custom-built using our architectural-grade frame systems—were crafted to harmonise with Ellery’s interior palette, integrating curated colour temperatures, graphic artwork, and spatially responsive lighting controls.

Each unit was designed not only to deliver a consistent visual impact across the extension but to set an aspirational tone for the entire retail precinct. These luminous architectural elements create focal points throughout the space, providing both ambient illumination and a dynamic visual identity that enhances the shopper experience.

Since completion, the Milford Mall extension has attracted a wave of premium and boutique retailers. This project stands as a benchmark for how collaborative design and bespoke fabrication can reshape the expectations of suburban retail environments—transforming them into destinations that compete with flagship urban precincts.
