The Bank of New Zealand has redefined the customer experience with a bold new space designed by WAM Architects. At the core of this design is a commitment to sustainability, with carefully curated materials chosen to align with these goals. The environment is crafted to engage visitors on multiple sensory levels, blending form, function, and emotion through innovative design elements.

A striking, illuminated, bespoke timber-clad ceiling serves as the focal point of the room, drawing the eye upward and creating a welcoming, sophisticated atmosphere. NZ-made fabric-centric solutions are integrated throughout, including illuminated wall treatments that feature clean, uninterrupted lines and vibrant colour contrasts. These elements deliver a dynamic visual aesthetic, reinforcing the brand’s identity and creating a seamless connection between the physical space and the emotional response of visitors. The interplay of light and colour enhances this connection, fostering a memorable experience.

Timber cladding, 3D-printed surfaces, and carefully selected soft furnishings add warmth, texture, and depth to the space, chosen not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their tactile qualities.
