Designing with Purpose

At this state-of-the-art production studio in Northern New Jersey, great acoustics are not only desired but they are vital for the company's success. So when choosing a contractor with the skills, knowledge, and creativity to meet their needs, they knew just who to call: Unique Construction, a CLIPSO Certified Installer. 

When given carte blanche, owner and master installer Krzysztof Borowik got to work. The primary goal was to provide exceptional acoustics. The secondary goal was to create a space that was fun and appealing, yet practical. To provide the expected acoustics, Krzysztof used CLIPSO SO® ACOUSTIC coverings for the conference room wall panels. (Photo above.) He attached them to a substrate that protruded from the wall using CLIPSO PVC profiles. He then added LED lighting behind the substrate to give the sense of "floating panels." He carried that "floating wall panel" concept to other areas of the offices by installing 3-dimensional panels covered in CLIPSO Pearlescent coverings to give a special shimmering effect, whilst installing LED light behind the panels to carry out the theme. (Photo below.)  He then added SO ACOUSTIC coverings to other areas of the building for optimal results. To further enhance the acoustic performance in all areas, CLIPSO acoustical batting was used throughout the space. 

It's projects like these that truly showcase the symbiotic relationship between design and functionality in interior design.
