This is Bernie the Valais Blacknose lamb. The Valais blacknose sheep are a rare Swiss breed that have been nicknamed "the world's cutest sheep."

They are not just cute, but real little characters, with friendly personalities.

Bernie is part of the recently established Parkdale Valais Blacknose Sheep stud, located in North Canterbury, New Zealand.

Fergus, the highland bull lives about 4 minutes down the road from me in Windwhistle. I would drive past him and admiring him almost everyday. I finally got the courage to ask the owners if I could photograph him, and I am so glad I did. He is a beauty!

I am a warm weather person and I get so excited to see the flowers beginning to bloom in my garden.

It is the biggest and hardest decision I face. Do I cut these beautiful peonies to put in my vase, or leave them in the garden! I made the ultimate sacrifice today, and cut these gorgeous peonies and roses to make this beautiful arrangement - named Gloria.

The kea is a native New Zealand bird. It’s also known as the New Zealand mountain parrot – the only true alpine parrot in the world. Kea are currently an endangered species.

They are intelligent and mischievous! While at a cafe at Arthurs Pass, this parrot helped itself to left over food on the table, knocking the ceramic plates and glassware off the table with his beak, causing the dinnerware to smash all over the ground. A regular and annoying occurrence for the cafe owners.

They’re also notorious for attacking cars if they get the chance – yanking on aerials and pecking at the rubber around car doors. This parrot had a good old peck at the handlebars of a patron's motorbike that was parked outside the cafe.

This is Lucky, the handsome Speckle Park Bull.

Lucky was given her name, because he was well Lucky! He was found abandoned in paddock without a drink for days, and was pretty lifeless. Her owners at The Parkvale Speckle Park stud took him inside. They brought her in front of the fire to get warm and hand fed him. They were not confident in saving him, the state of him did not look promising. However, against all odds, Lucky lived. They had to give him this name for this very reason, he was very lucky to be alive!

What I loved about meeting Lulu, the highland cow, was her freckles. So in this particuloar print I wanted this to be my focus.

Mabel is a beautiful Hairy Coo photographed at Oakden Downs, Mid Canterbury. Highland Cows have long, beautiful shaggy hair. Per their name, they are originally from the Highlands of Scotland. Most Highlands are redheads but Mabel was a beautiful dun highland As I took her photo she tilted her head she created this pose that showed her true character.

Living on a sheep and beef farm, I am not too short of photo opportunities. I had in my mind the exact shot that I wanted to capture of one of our bulls and I was very eager.

I was all prepared, had all my equipment charged up and ready to go. I set out for a small hike about our farm to find my particular subject, the Angus Bull. I knew where he was was located, I had it all sussed.

After raining all week, it was finally a beautiful clear day to head out with my camera, so I was excited with what I was going to create. I love the sun shining on the Angus Bulls as it truly shows up their black shiny coats in my photographs.

However, when I got there, the bull had different ideas. He clearly didn’t get the memo but he was having a ball nevertheless. What I was hoping for was a beautiful clean, shiny bull ready to do some great modelling poses for me. What I got was a bull who was rolling around in a mud bath. I was gutted. I was really excited about my photograph that I had all planned in my head, and what I got was completely different. I didn’t want a muddy bull.

I figured, I had got all this way out into the paddock with all my equipment, I may as well take some shots anyway, it wasn’t going to hurt and this was the result.
